RECIPE: Simple Garlic & Cilantro Tilapia


INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 tilapia fillets
  • 1.5 cups cilantro
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Black pepper or any other sodium-free seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Add lemon juice, olive oil and garlic to a blender and blend until garlic is thinly minced.
  • Add cilantro to blender and pulse a few times.
  • Season tilapia with pepper or other optional spices and then add the sauce to the top of the filet.
  • Cook using a panini style grill (recommended) or oven. Both options listed below.
    • Panini Style Grill:
      • Spray both sides of the grill with olive oil.
      • Place filet on grill for 6 minutes to cook one side before closing. 
      • Then close grill to cook both sides at once for another 6 minutes.
      • Oven:
        • Preheat to 350 degrees.
        • Spray oven-safe dish with olive oil.
        • Bake for 15 minutes.
