PLAN for success

At this time of year, many people are starting to think about New Year's Resolutions. We encourage you to set fitness and nutrition goals for yourself. But, setting a goal is one thing, achieving it is another.

In order to achieve your goals, it is important to have a plan. If you want to improve your eating habits, you need to be organized and plan ahead. 


Tips on planning ahead:

• Put aside two hours on the weekends to wash & cut up your vegetables and fruit.

• Prepare your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks the night before.

• Place your food in small portion containers so that they’re easy to grab & go.

• Purchase a cooler for the road.

• Fill up your water bottles the night before. It’s easier to have a few small ones than one large one.

• Most importantly, plan your food intake and calculate the calories for the next day before you go to bed. There are several apps & websites that can help you with your planning.  Our favorite two are: 

Remember that if you are offered food that is not on your personal menu plan for the day, PASS IT UP!
