Fun Ways to Increase Your Water Consumption

Without a doubt, the very best beverage choice, is always water!

There is nothing as refreshing as cold, fresh water. However, we understand that some people would like more flavor in their drinks. Instead of turning to juice, soda, coffee or alcohol, just spice up your water and keep it calorie-free with these ideas:

1. Add fresh lemon, lime, orange, mint, cucumbers, fresh berries, etc.

2. Buy flavored mineral water from Trader Joes. They have different flavors such as lemon, orange and wild berry. (It needs to be the clear mineral water with no juice added.) And make sure you don't get one of the brands that add artificial sweetener.

3. Herbal teas also have no calories and come in a wide variety of delicious flavors. You can drink it hot, or make iced tea.

You may want to prepare a large amount of flavored water in the morning, and then turn to this water throughout the day, especially when you are craving food. Always remember to drink water before you turn to food.

  1. If you need to learn how to love water, just come to boot camp a few times. I don't think anything tatses better after a sweaty workout than water.
