RECIPE: Quinoa Breakfast with Banana & Almonds

If you're tired of the same old breakfast, try this delicious, healthy twist on traditional oatmeal.

Makes 4 servings
156 calories per serving

Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup dry quinoa
  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 1/4 cup whole almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon agave (optional)
Instructions:
  • Cook quinoa according to package instructions, using almond milk as liquid. 
  • After quinoa is cooked, stir in mashed bananas and cinnamon. 
  • Next, mix in sliced bananas and almonds.
  • Transfer to a bowl and enjoy.
Optional: add a drizzle of agave for slight sweetness, and extra milk until desired texture is reached.
